Christmas Ships in the Denny Blaine Area

Seattle Christmas ShipsThe Seattle Christmas Ships will be viewable in the Denny Blaine area several times over the next couple weeks.  The next chance to see the Christmas Ships will be Saturday night down the hill from Denny Blaine at Madrona Park.  The ships will actually be the grand finale of the Very Merry in Madrona this Friday and Saturday.  The Christmas Ships, a Seattle tradition for 62 years, will stop in front of Madrona Beach between 9:25 and 9:45 PM on Saturday night (December 3rd).  Come and enjoy brightly decorated ships and the holiday songs by the Dickens Carolers while standing by a warm bonfire on Madrona Beach on the south side of the Spectrum Theatre.

Flashlights and warm clothes are recommended.  The Seattle forecast looks to be clear but cold.

If you have little ones at home, the Madrona Christmas Ship schedule may be late for your family.  You may want to consider going to Mount Baker neighborhood on Sunday night where they will have three shows: Ferdinand Street Park (the boats will be in the bay between Seward Park and Lake Washington Boulevard) from 5:40 to 6:00 PM; Stan Sayres Memorial Park (aka The Pitts) from 6:15 to 6:35 PM; and Mt. Baker Beach Park from 6:45 to 7:05 PM.  Monday the Christmas Ships will be at Seward Park starting at 8:25 PM or you can wait until Saturday, December 17th when the Christmas Ships will be at Madison Park Beach from 4:55 to 5:15 PM.  You can also check the full schedule of stops to find a date and place that is convenient to you.
