Metro is considering changing a bunch of bus routes including the #2 which services Denny Blaine. The suggested change is to have the #2 still travel to Denny Blaine, but it would only go to Downtown Seattle and back. No longer would the service head to Queen Anne or Belltown before heading back to Denny Blaine. The main problem I see is the #2 used to access all of Downtown Seattle; the proposed bus line would only go as far north as Madison before heading back to Denny Blaine, giving little access to the rest of Downtown.
If you are concerned, you should take the Metro survey. The changes are planned for September 2012, but the wheels (on the bus) are already turning so you better speak now.
Evensong is the most particularly Anglican service in all of Christian Worship. It is sung regularly in many cathedrals and parish churches throughout this country, and daily in many places in England. The choir traditionally offers certain portions while the congregation joins in the hymns and prayers. The public is welcome to join the Epiphany Parish in the Denny Blaine area on All Saints’ Sunday, November 6 at 5 pm for this service of rare and mystical beauty. Epiphany Choir will sing music of prominent English and American Composers.

Just north of Denny Blaine, the Madison Park Parade and Picnic starts tomorrow, Saturday, July 9th at noon sharp. The parade, that features neighborhood kids riding bikes behind a firetruck, will travel a couple blocks through the Madison Park Business District to Madison Park (actual Seattle City Park). Once at the park, there is a picnic with games, clowns, etc.
